Hearts and Hard Truths

A woman's strength should never be used to destroy another woman's path.

On this International Women's Day, I want to take a moment to appreciate every incredible woman.

Women plays countless roles in life— as mothers, daughters, sisters, friends, students, and professionals. In every role, they carry responsibilities, face challenges, and continue to move forward with strength and determination.

Many times their efforts go unnoticed. Yet women continue to work hard at home, in offices, in businesses, and in many other spaces, quietly shaping families, communities, and society.

While International Women's Day is a beautiful reminder to celebrate women, appreciation should not be limited to just one day.

Because supporting women should never be a one-day celebration— it should be a part of everyday life.

However, there is also something important that we rarely discuss openly.

Sometimes, the biggest criticism or negativity a woman faces comes from another woman. Instead of support, there can be jealousy. Instead of encouragement, there can be comparison.

It is truly unfortunate when a woman becomes an enemy to another woman.

What do we really gain by pulling another woman down?

What do we achieve by spreading negativity about another woman or trying to weaken her confidence, her opportunities, or even her career?

The truth is— nothing.

But when women support each other, something powerful happens. Confidence grows, strength multiplies, and together women create a more supportive and empowering environment for one another.

Perhaps real change begins when women choose encouragement over comparison and support over competition.

A woman's journey is already filled with challenges, expectations, and constant pressure to prove her worth. The last thing she should have to face is another woman trying to block her path.

So instead of becoming barriers in a woman's journey, support her— or at the very least, do not stand in her way.

Because no woman should have to fight battles created by another woman.

Today, on this Women's Day, let us make a small promise to ourselves.
To support each other.
To appreciate each other.
To stand for each other, instead of against each other.

And to never use our power or actions to ruin another woman's life or career.
